What is the Collaborative
Community Summit?

The Collaborative Community Summit is a dynamic, day-long convening designed to ignite collaboration in the social sector. Rooted in joy, belonging, trust, and anti-racist practices, the Summit features community-building activities, inspirational speakers, interactive workshops, and robust peer-learning.

This gathering brings together attendees from across the social sector, including nonprofit leaders, government partners, board members, and funders who are committed to working differently and more collaboratively to address our region’s most pressing challenges.

Attendees will leave energized, connected to potential partners, and ready to integrate collaborative principles into their strategies, projects, and organizations.

Full-Day Summit Registration

Paid Registrants ONLY

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Registration Opens: 8:00 AM
Location: University of Texas - LBJ Auditorium &Thompson Conference Center

Full-Day Summit Registrants will begin their day with priority seating for the fireside conversation with Brené Brown!

Following the fireside, the day will continue with engaging breakout sessions including a range of workshops, panels, and case studies exploring collaboration, trust, strategic partnership models, fundraising, and related topics.

We’ll end the day with a keynote from community leader Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, followed by a closing activity led by Craig Hella Johnson of Grammy–winning choir Conspirare.

We’re excited to welcome Brené Brown to the 2026 Collaborative Community Summit! Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston, where she holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. She also holds the position of Professor of Practice in Management at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Brené is the author of six #1 New York Times bestsellers and the host of two award-winning podcasts. She spends much of her time working with organizations around the world, helping develop braver leaders and more courageous cultures. In 2024, she was named Executive Chair of the Center for Daring Leadership at BetterUp.
